Meet Jonesy Thyme
A small, experienced team looking after gardens across Surrey and Sussex.
Experience, care and a genuine passion for gardening.
Founded by Iain Jones and joined by Andy, Jonesy Thyme is a small, professional gardening team based in Capel. Between us, we bring more than 40 years of experience in gardening and grounds maintenance.
Iain began working in professional grounds maintenance in 2003, progressing from operative to team leader, supervisor and contract manager. That background included pricing, tendering, mobilising and managing large multi-site grounds-maintenance contracts across the South East before establishing Jonesy Thyme in 2022.
We specialise in looking after established gardens, from regular garden maintenance, lawn care and hedge cutting to pruning, planting, borders and seasonal work. We work with private homeowners, larger properties and estates, as well as commercial clients.
Being a small team means you'll know who's looking after your garden or grounds. We take pride in turning up when we say we will, working carefully and leaving everything looking tidy when we're finished. For commercial clients, that also means the experienced people responsible for the service remain directly involved in delivering it.
We both genuinely enjoy what we do. Whether we're maintaining a large country garden or keeping a smaller garden looking its best throughout the year, the same care and attention goes into the job.
We're fully insured, registered waste carriers and use professional equipment, but ultimately we think the quality of our work and the relationships we build with our clients are what matter most.
Modern, professional equipment
Where practical, we use professional battery-powered machinery, including the STIHL AP System and Hayter battery equipment. It helps us work with less noise and disturbance, with no exhaust emissions at the point of use — particularly useful in residential gardens, schools, estates and managed grounds.
If you're looking for reliable, experienced gardeners who'll treat your garden as if it matters, we'd be happy to have a chat.
